Welcome to Saint Seraphim of Sarov Orthodox Christian Church. We are a missionary parish located in beautiful Bavaro-Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We welcome your visit both here on our webpage and in person at our parish.
Our mission is to introduce the Orthodox Ancient Faith to those who are truly hungry, thirsty and willing to learn about the original faith from 33 A.D.

We are an American mission parish of the Russian Orthodox Church. In our parish you will find Orthodox Christians from many different backgrounds. Our services are mostly in Spanish as we seek to have the domestic population understand the words being spoken to them, however, there is also some Slavonic as a remembrance of our ties to the Russian Church. Moreover, you fill find people in our church that speak a variety of languages including english. We are under the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, headed by Metropolitan HILARION of New York and Eastern America. We welcome your visit both here on our webpage and in person at our parish.
Our mission in Bávaro-Punta Cana is pastored by Fr. Nenad Flora, a Metropolitan HILARION ordained priest from America with Serbian roots and a Dominican wife, Matushka Anastasia. The consecration of our new church is a testimony to the growth and development of the Orthodox mission in the Dominican Republic that was started in 2008 by Priest Rafael Martinez Gonzalez. Four years prior, in 2004, Metropolitan Kyrill, chairman of the Department of External Church Relations and future Patriarch of Moscow & All Russia, visited the Orthodox Christian faithful there, served a moleben, and expressed his hope for the formation of a parish with regular services.
